Inappropriate Elf Contest Submission

I don't know if you've ever seen the Baby Rabies Inappropriate Elf contest, but this year I decided our elf, Dinkle HAD to enter.  The key to a really great Inappropriate Elf submission is finding an actual real life inappropriate event and having your elf behave accordingly.  I knew I had my event during the MTV Video Music awards. In case you don't know what I mean,  THIS happened...

So, thank you Miley Cyrus. (Never thought I'd utter that phrase in this lifetime!)  Without you, my elf would never have been properly motivated to behave inappropriately.  I present to you Dinkle, the inappropriate elf's VMA awards...

Dinkle Sneakytoes returns!

Need some Elf on the Shelf ideas?  Dinkle loves a good prank, here's what he's been up to this year!
Our elf loves to write his name!

He wrapped all of our family photos up

He built a lego scene

He stole our stockings and gave us socks

He dressed up like Superman

He cut and hung snowflakes all over the house

He made a swing

He decorated the tree

He brought us a new decoration

He shrank all of our packages into elf sized ones

He made us Rice Krispie treats

He brought us a yearbook of the things he does when he's not here with us

He staged a prom for all the barbies

He brought us a new movie to watch

He brought the kids chocolate coins

He shrank our Jenga to toy sized

He brought us a new book to read and reminded us that Christmas is about the birth of Christ

He created a giant Frosty friend

He enlisted the help of 8 tiny ponies to pull his sleigh

Forgiveness Handout

I created this handout quite a while ago for a sunday school class I was teaching. For some reason the original link/post is broken, so here it is again, by popular demand!

What it's really like to be a SAHM

After reading this, I was thinking about what it is I "do" all day.  I know that I am busy, constantly. I know that I feel like I never sit down or rest.  I know that I feel like chef, maid, chauffeur, therapist, referee, and personal assistant all day.  But what is it really like?  After talking to a friend, another SAHM, we came up with this.  Enjoy! =)

Mother's day Candy bar wrappers (Free printable)

These are some candy bar wrappers I made for the Mother's Day gift in my ward.  They would be appropriate for any lesson on women though.  Enjoy!

Tooth fairy pillow

My son is about to loose his first tooth.  For a while now I have been trying to think of a way to make it special for him.  I have never been fond of the idea of trying to sneak into his room and get a tooth out from under a pillow without waking him up the tooth fairy having to look for a tiny tooth under his pillow.  I found a super cute pin for tooth fairy stationery, and in that post it showed a note from the tooth fairy in a pillow with the money.  (Get the stationery here ) So.... I totally copied paid tribute to that idea and made him his own.  Now we just have to wait for that tooth to come out!

Monster knees!

My son is SUPER hard on the knees of his pants.  It used to drive me CRAZY... until I found this totally cute way to "fix" them in Family Fun magazine!  He loves them and now they will last a bit longer.  I used flannel and felt, hopefully he won't wear through them right away.  Even if he does, at least they got one more wear, right? =)
